SAR aircrew 'bespoke' MTB Skills development. 4th 5th June

Keith & Andy work as aircrew on the RAF Search and Rescue Sea kings out of Anglesey. However with the withdrawal of service of the military SAR cover they are re training for new careers in civey street. They both want to work in the outdoors and as part of their new careers they wanted to develop their mountain bike skills more so we put together a two day bespoke program for them with the first day focused on pure riding skills development at our site at Onegiantleap in Llangollen North Wales.

We took them through correct bike set up and suspensions settings as well as all the core skills we teach so moving about the bike, pumping, manuals and bunnyhops as well as confident and efficient braking and cornering skills.

We developed the skills out in plenty of space before putting them in to practice in the woods.

We finish the first day off with a ride down the easier track at the famous Onegiantleap DH site in the late afternoon sunshine.

On the 2nd day we did a ride in the local area so the guys could practise the skills but also get to see a bit more of it. With the great weather it was a great day out on the bikes finished off with lunch in Llangollen.

Had a fantastic couple of days with the guys and hopefully they will be out on the trails practicing.
