London Bike Show

So quick trip down to the 'big city' to visit the London Bike Show. Frustrating journey after a 6.30 start we got to sample the delights of the daily commute with a 1.5hr park up in the fast lane of the M6! Made us glad of living up on the Pass for sure!

Anyway after a 6hr drive we ended up in the big smoke at the Excel venue.

The show is not that big in all reality and if your more in too ‘off road’ riding there is not that much there from our point of view it’s nice to go and catch up with lots of people we know down there and see whats going on in the World!

Got to catch up with some of the CTC crew on their stand, had a good old chat with Steve Marsden from up in Sheffield.

The Transition / Kali / BOS Suspension / Electra stand was looking full of ‘goodies’ as ever, Carbon Covert, Covert and Bandit 29er’s and the unique Klunker were all there to drool over as well as the very nice looking 2013 450.

The Carbon Covert was looking even better in the flesh than it does in the photos!

We even spotted a bike cup holder on the Electra stand too, hmm could we have coffee while on the Squirrel track perhaps?

You can even get a Covert 29er too if bigger wheels are your thing. It looked really nice and I think the frame geometry will work really with larger wheels for sure.

Lots of other stuff there but a couple of things that got our attention was this very nice complete tool box from Topeak. Lots of nice features and idea's on this as well as a great set of tools too!

The boys from DMR had a wicked new indoor Pump Track, looked super fast, with some nice high corners to rail and sweet rollers. Check out this quick vid of some of the riders warming up:

Had a interesting day and caught up with lots of people. Then headed off to catch up with our friends Dom, Helene and Chloe for the night before the CTC conference in Guilford over the WE.
